From the A12 Motorway, in Genoa-La Spezia, you can exit at Carrodano to Levanto and then reach Monterosso, Vernazza and Corniglia. Equally by exiting at Brugnato you reach the cities of Monterosso, Vernazza and Corniglia.
Coming from La Spezia you can take the coastal road and then reach Riomaggiore and Manarola. A narrow and winding street, called “the sanctuary”, connects all five villages.
It is the ideal means of transport to get to Cinque Terre. The races have considerable frequency, especially during the summer season and local trains stop at all stations of the Cinque Terre: Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterosso al Mare. The last stop is La Spezia on the line Pisa-Genoa, where they stop all long distance trains.
A single ticket costs about € 2, recommend buying the Cinque Terre Card (different types) which includes unlimited rail travel on the route and the access to trails.
